When February comes around it means the start of the classics. Thousands of fans flock to Belgium on the final week in February to see some of the greatest cyclists in the world at a truly unique cycling race - Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
THE OPENING CEREMONY
The legendary Kuipke Velodrome played host to the opening ceremony of the 2017 Edition of Omloop Het Niewsblad
THE FINISH
The Finish of Omloop Het Niewsblad finished in the shadow of the Gent ICC. The Race was won by Greg Van Avermaet who narrowly beat the World Champion Peter Sagan to the line.
THE WOMENS RACE
The Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Womens Race 2017 was won by Lucinda Brand who attacked late in the race to take the overall victory.
